Montes del Plata to take 10-day downtime starting on Mar. 16

Montes del Plata (MdP)'s 1.3 million tonnes/yr bleached eucalyptus kraft mill in Uruguay is scheduled to take its first annual maintenance downtime on Mar. 16, a company official said. The unit started up in June 2014 and reached break-even of its operations in December.

MdP didn't detail the works that it will carry out during the maintenance activities at the unit, but said the shutdown is expected to last for 10 days.
